The Problem

A meta-analysis in 2023 reported a global ADHD prevalence of 5.6%–7.6% in children and adolescents, while the prevalence in Indonesia was thought to be around 4.2%–26.4%. Although the condition emerges during childhood, some symptoms may persist until adulthood.

In Indonesia, developmental disorders in toddlers, with a prevalence ranging from 10-18%, are a significant concern, with many cases remaining undetected and untreated, highlighting the need for early detection and intervention.
